It is estimated that in Italy about 8 million people are suffering from sleep disorders, from simple snoring, to sleep apnea, insomnia and hypersomnia, with many consequences on social life, work, family, but also on health.
Sleep disorders, in fact, may be a significant risk factor responsible for the onset of other diseases (such as cardiovascular, neurological, metabolic, renal disorders) or for the aggravation of pre-existing pathological conditions, as shown by the wealth of scientific literature available on the subject.
What is more, for some years now, the latest regulations for the issuance/renewal of driving licenses in patients with sleep disorders have made it necessary to develop innovative technologies able to treat the disease using a range of therapeutic options which shall be effective but at the same time suited to the needs and lifestyle of each patient.
